Demo at Swine Research Center

2023

Project Description

Oregon State University undertook a comprehensive demolition project at the Swine Research Center, aiming to clear the area for potential future developments while incorporating sustainable practices. The project involved the dismantling of over 24,000 square feet of existing structures, ensuring a meticulous and responsible removal process. All metal materials were recycled, reflecting OSU’s commitment to environmentally responsible practices. Additionally, more than 24,000 square feet of concrete was repurposed to backfill an unmaintained pond on the site, contributing to sustainable land management efforts. Following the demolition and recycling processes, the entire area was leveled, leaving a clean, prepared site for future use. This project underscores Oregon State University's dedication to both environmental stewardship and strategic campus development.
